Cheers of victory was heard through out Rome banners hanging from thetallest to smallest building flowers decorated Caesars statue Thecommon people took the day off to celebrate Caesars return home and thevictory of defeating Pompey Everyone was cheerful and happy for Caesarsvictory everyone except the people who were concerned for the democracyof Rome or so they seemed to be concerned but they were actuallyjealous This jealousy started many conflicts it lead to the murder ofJulius Caesar which eventually leads to even more to a civil warthrough out Rome Therefore in my opinion the people who were concernedfor the democracy of Rome were not justified for the murder of theGreat Julius Caesar and the many conflicts throughout the story To help support my opinion on why the people who were concerned withthe democracy of Rome or also known as the conspirators were notjustified was because they made the decision to kill Caesar which wouldlead to other conflicts later on They killed out of jealousy Cassiusfelt that he would be saving the republic and the Roman Government byeliminating the autorative Rule of Caesar in other words getting rid ofCaesar Cassius wouldnt fell his life being threatened Cassius fromthe start wanted to get rid of Caesar he slowly persuades Brutus intotaking part in the conspiracy but has a hard time persuading himbecause he is supposedly Caesars so called friend Eventually he hasother people who follow him in on the conspiracyIn addition to support my opinion towards why the conspirators were notjustified would have to be the murder of Julius Caesar For one whenAntony offers Caesar the crown three times Caesar does nothing butrefuses the crown This action leads to the thoughts Cassius and Brutusto think that Caesar was ambitious Here is the will and underCaesars seal To every Roman citizens he gives to every severalseventy drachmas As we can see this quote clearly shows that Caesarwas not ambitious Caesar loved Rome and its people Also a murder cannever
