After watching the video Teacher Survival Skills I felt a touchoverwhelmed So much information that seems so simple but is the reasonover fifty percent of teachers quite with in the first few years DrJim Zabloski talks about five main points that will help first yearteachers survive and become excelling teachers The three pointsthat really stuck out at me personally where get organized beconsistent and dont talk too much Although I feel that he forgot onevery important tipGetting organized is something that reverberates all too close for me It is what I was just realizing was missing from my home My oldest isvery strong willed and four if she is on a schedule she does so muchbetter I sat down and put a schedule together this past week and thechange in her is astounding I can personally live moment to moment andbe just fine but she cannot If there is an organized schedule thingsjust run so much smoother for everyone due to her younger sisters whofeed off of her emotions Furthermore I find she does not get as upsetand then I dont get as frustrated causing a vicious never ending cyclefor us bothBeing consistent runs hand in hand with being organized but it doeshave some other points to it Being constant develops a feeling ofsafety for the children in which they enjoy When I was in high schooleveryone told me to take Spanish because the teacher was a greatteacher So I took her My first year started off just fine but inApril she the teacher found out she was expecting That was thebeginning of the end She became an emotional roller coaster andunpredictable in every way I hated it When the following Septembercame I was supposed to continue in her class but I bagged my parents tolet me drop it I felt she was psychotic and could not
