The modern day Christian has become so self-absorbed it seems they have forgotten that they are representatives of God himself If a Christian were asked what this title means sadly most are left floundering for an adequate answer So what could be causing our inability to form an appropriate response I believe it is a question of education Exactly how much does the average Christian study and therefore know about their choice of faith The results are people that live out their everyday lives with little to no Godly principles which in turn leaves the world watching and forming misguided opinions of their own The media has a knack for portraying Christians as an uneducated person typically of Southern descent that eats vast amounts of fried foods and brandishes bibles at the unsuspecting passerby Not a very pleasant image to have impressed on a person who could be seeking for answers and as Christians we have an obligation to our omnipotent God to be better representatives of Him Being passive at a time when our fellowman needs to know a God that can give hurting lonely people the strength to go out into a struggling economy and make ends meet for themselves and their families is unacceptable This passivity leaves the media to defile the image of an invaluable relationship between man and creator and it is our responsibility to see that this is not left unredeemed What can we do to make a difference Well starting by having a better grasp of the basic fundamentals is always a good starting point What is a Christian It is person that has made a confession to God that He is the creator of man who sinned and because of that sin a redeemer was sent to become the ultimate atonement for our sins That redeemer was Jesus When he died he took the punishment for all our sins on himself so we could be set
