It was in the year 2006 when I was in the sixth grade My teacher who I will always remember was Miss Clifford that asked the question What career would you like to pursue when you grow up This question did not occur to me much What I did know was that I wanted to go into the medical field The assignment that was given to me that day was a research paper that helped me think about my future tremendously Other papers throughout elementary school and high school did not get to me as this one did This paper brought me to where I am today and I must thank Miss Clifford for encouraging me not to give up on my writing skills How could one paper impact so many decisions I always thought that writing was boring and did not have a purpose That was myself expressing my feelings but at eleven years old I changed my thoughts on writing It was the most frightening day for a sixth grader or at least for myself at that time That day in the sixth grade carried on like this You will be writing a six to eight page research paper related to this topic Can you say frightening Six to eight pages Yikes That was a lot for a sixth grader When I received a huge stack of papers with the requirements for the paper my heart dropped It was like receiving bad news it was so much for a sixth grade student to take in The requirements were must be at least six pages long you must interview a professional in your career of choice and at least 10 references must all be cited After being told the assignment requirements made the situation even worse I was nervous What would I write I did not know much about the medical field besides my experiences in the emergency room for broken bonesWhen
