It is not a good idea if school starts and ends later because you would not be prepared for future careersuniversity no time for jobs or plans and not enough sleep First of all if school starts late then students sleeping habits would be that of a late schedule Due to that it causes them to be less prepared when they start working or go to university For example your part time job or university course starts at 8 or 9 in the morning and for students who are used to the late school time it would be difficult for them to get up for work However if schools were to start early then it would prepare students for cases like that making them get used to that early habit from the beginning Secondly students already get out from their schools late plus if they have after school activities they get out later causing students difficulties finding jobs that fit their late schedule For instance your part time job starts at 5pm but at that time you just started youre after school activity leaving you no time to go to work Most jobs look for students who are available between the times from 4-6 and even if you do go to work there is the issue of homework once you get back from work Lastly students go to sleep really late to get their homework done causing them to catch up on needed sleep in the morning Therefore this leads to them feeling groggy at school For example you have a lot of homework to do after school and you get carried away with your job school activity or other stuff So then you start working on your homework only to finish around 1-3 in the night Going to sleep this late you are obviously tired so you use the extra morning time but with that extra sleep you will feel lazy and groggier
