A few years ago on a chilly October morning when leaves on trees were turning bright orange and red my family and I left our house to make apple cider at Alexander and Allisons house As my father drove I looked at the beautiful colored trees with all their different shaped leaves When we arrived all of the days processes had been prepared White chairs glistened in the warm sunlight while three hot water bins let steam off into the air The apple press sat ready to start the process of grinding apples and a white table with two pitchers with nylons on top of them sat ready to filter the juice coming from the press Square and circular jugs lined neatly in rows ready to hold cider Two apple bins filled with honey crisp and golden apples were ready to go through the juicing process Everything was ready to start and I decided to sit by Allison cutting out bad spots on the apples while my dad threw the apples into the apple press Church members came and helped too A little boy named James helped my dad My brother Marcus who was working for Alexander and Allison came up earlier to mow in the orchard Allison and I talked about how the air felt so clean and fresh and how great the apple cider was going to taste I kept thinking of my brother and wishing he was beside me talking with me and laughing with me After half an hour of working I decided to go get a sample of the juice I walked over to the table where the jugs filled rapidly and took a small sample As the cider trickled down my throat all I could think of was how delicious it was It tasted like a fresh honey crisp apple I took Allison a sample and sat down at my chair again Fire Fire Fire I heard my brother
