What does one picture when the word home is mentioned I picture a white picket fence a long stone path leading to the picture-perfect little house with a red front door and four square glass windows and a perfect garden in the front yard Home is much more than a building with four walls providing shelter Home is a place of tranquility and peace where I feel safe On the other hand my mother never had a place called home since she bounced from one house to another Everyone has a different interpretation of home which could be a place of comfort or not belonging and not having the proper necessities to call a place home In general home is where you feel comfortable surrounded by loved ones In my definition home is my comfort zone where my mind is at ease After having a rough week at school and coming home for the weekend all the stress and worries leave my mind when I immediately walk through the front door Also home is where one finds their identity and shapes the person they will become When one has their own room they have the option to decorate it the way they want such as a favorite color and stuff animals from their childhood For example my dorm room is not a place where I feel comfortable since the walls are bare and my mattress is hard as a rock Most of all my dorm will never feel like home since my parents brothers and dog do not surround me My loved ones provide me comfort because I always have someone to talk to and have their support to follow my dreams Although the idea of home means different things to many people but for me it means having tranquility identity and loved ones On the contrary my mother never had a place she called home during her childhood Her mother passed away
