Bridget's feedback:
"I appreciate that you manage to capture an evenhanded tone in reporting on a topic that so many people feel strongly about; this does a lot in developing ethos and persuasiveness, forming connections with the reader. At the local level, your discussion shows solid logic and progression in building up those supporting details and points. I encourage you to keep pushing toward a framework that can allow some broader conclusions, tying up the moving parts. These include exploring why you draw certain lines (books, internet; school, home). For example, I was not clear what motivates the different stance on the Starr Report. Push your discussion toward a coherent position that can systematically account for each example and venue you bring up.
In terms of the writing mechanics and other lower-order concerns, you show good control overall. Make sure all titles are italicized or otherwise formatted as needed--this really helps your reader's visual navigation. A bibliography or list of consulted works would enhance the presentation, though this may depend on your assignment parameters. If you found any news articles or other current sources, for example, including them as a list or in signal phrases can help establish the current state of affairs and urgency of the topic."
