I enjoyed a measure of success in writing on an academic level in personal writings and on a professional level In my opinion the most flavorful results of my success in writing came from poems and work related documentations and the most dejecting - from school There was something to be learned from the praises I received and the hard criticism Only now can I truly appreciate and understand what was being passed on to me by my teacher Maybe now I be able to return to one of my true loveswriting Writing was a very important tool in the everyday functions of a mental health worker All communications reports and documentations needed to be clearly written and detailed It was imperative for the writer to paint a picture so intricate that any reader could visualize himself as a part of the event Such was the case during a patients treatment team meeting when the chief psychologist gave praise of my observations and interactions with a resident that was in a crisis situation As the first mental health worker at the scene I had taken the lead role in trying to verbally intervene in the crisis I was able to articulate all events from the beginning of verbal up to seclusion After the crisis all participants with a pertinent observations or comments was to write a progress note and an incident report was require to be filled out The progress note received a high praise from a doctor who rarely gives out such praise The praise report was relayed to me by the Director of Social Services This was a special accolade coming from this a doctor who doesnt usually give this kind of praise to others The progress note play a very important role in the treatment teams evaluation and assessment of the resident and his behavior with a favorable
