Why do I write Never have I thought about why I write Why when I amdownhearted I pick up a notebook and vent every emotion running throughmy head I write because I do not trust anyone as I trust paper Paperdoes not judge you because you are upset over something fatuous itallows you to share your problems and rationally think on how to actupon them and best of all paper does not give you advice that you canfind in every self-help book created I write because people are judgmental Even my best friends have teasedme because they think I care too much about my grades but paperwould not judge me Many times I get upset over minuscule things that Iam aware should not bother me To paper those miniscule problems arejust as great as my biggest ones Boy problems and fights with friendsmight be unimportant to my life as a whole but at the time it seemslike the worst thing possible Paper does not tell me Im overreactingit says nothing at all Moreover silence helps me more than any wordscould I write because when I share my problems with paper it lets me thinkabout how I must act upon them I get to use my own intellect andpersonal beliefs to respond on my problems rationally Writing does notremind me of how other people think I should act it allows me to focuson myself When my dad was sick I had a journal that I kept updates onhis health and my sanity I wrote in this journal from his diagnosisbeyond his death Writing in that journal gave me solace and let methink about how I could heal after my life turned upside downLastly I write because paper does not give me advice that I could findin every self-help book created Do not get me wrong some self-helpbooks are actually helpful but most of the time they repeat the sameadvice over and over again They say things
