Ever since I was a freshman in high school all I ever wanted to be was an English Major since it just clicked I attended community college and was aware that English was the major I intended to pursue During my last semester I was required to take a Political Science course in order for my degree to be completed To be honest I am not a follower on politics and I instantly believed this class would be pointless for my degree and that I would fail As the class progressed my mind set had changed and the class became of interest The exams and papers I thought I would fail turned into As and Bs The course ended up starting to give me a change of heart and consider switching my major to Criminal Justice Seeing as I was already close to completing my degree I decided not to change my major In the fall I entered West Chester University as an English major however the courses I was required to take were not of interested In that moment I knew my heart was not into being an English major and that I wanted to pursue a major in Criminal JusticeEven though as an English major I could help students if I were to become a teacher I realized that I could be of even more assistance to plenty of individuals in the Criminal Justice field Given the opportunity to help someone in need and successfully doing so is one of the best feelings in the world As a Criminal Justice major I would have numerous job opportunities where I can assist those who are in need As a Criminal Justice major I have three career pathways I would be interested in a Social Worker Animal Control Officer or a Sex Crimes Detective As a Social Worker I could help children and young adults by offering them the best possible care providing assistance with
