Now a day in many countries strikes happen every day around the world Canada on Strike the title of an article on Wikipedia which shows how often strikes happen in Canada In Canada there were many strikes such as the post office Air Canada and teachers There are many reasons to strike the two major reasons are economic benefits and safety The first major reason is economic benefits The labors strikers stop their work to enforce their economic demands such as wages and bonuses It can attract people to pay attention to them so they can pressure the government and companies According to a new article on CBC News that this year in Canada the post office was on strike for a long time and the reason for that was the government gave a proposal to dramatically reduce wages to cut a cost The post officers have the economic problem in their families and they have more stresses for living more than before So they decided to strike to argue with the government and to protect their benefits The other reason is safety Workers always have health problems especially the physical workers This also happened in the post office strike They said their job caused a lot of slip and fall injuries a lot of shoulder arm and neck pain It is a health problem that costs money but the government wanted to pay employees 30 percent less That means the post officers have less money to solve their health problems So the post officers did strike for their wages and bonusesThe effects of striking are serious economic issues for the societies workers financial problems and troubles of people lives First the workers who strike always from some major companies So if the workers do not work it can be a big problem for their counties economies Second if the workers do not work they have no income Therefore
