In the race to greatness today many wars are fought for financial interests The current conflict in Afghanistan located in the Middle East and filled with newfound natural resources has fallen in the hands of the United States the prominent international force deployed to stop this conflict This is the same state that has won countless wars but here in this region of the world the conflict is persisting with no end in sight Even though the American government says that theyre staying in Afghanistan to stop terrorism at its roots and to stabilize the region they are really there to acquire the countrys natural resources this will be proven by an analysis of the reasons from both nations why the conflict is persisting Afghanistan has always been a troubled nation Recently in this holy war terrorists have been having in the country one group rises above all the others as the most fierce the Taliban The man responsible for this organization is Mullah Mohammad Omar who calls himself the Amir-ul-Momineen or Leader of the Faithful The Taliban movement started in the spring of 1994 in Mullahs hometown of Kandahar southern Afghanistan with fewer than 50-armed disciples The story of how it all began according to common belief is the following The governor of Singesar had abducted two teenage girls shaved their heads and taken them to a camp where they were raped 30 Taliban with only 16 rifles freed the girls and hanged the governor from the barrel of a tank From that point the Talibans were born Taking advantage of the political situation of Afghanistan at this certain period of time the Taliban proclaimed themselves as the ones who could fix the mess they portrayed themselves as the main authority of Afghanistan In the year of 1994 the group grew in size and started seizing and freeing provinces from anarchy But when the actual central government asked them to join them in an
