The definition of pride is the sense of personal dignity and values I bet most of us dont realize how much pride we have and how much it influences our thoughts and decisions every second of every day Some people have so much pride they would rather fail a class than ask for help or keep fighting for an obvious lost cause simply because they cant give up Pride is one of the things that I believe drive our military Our soldiers have so much pride I dont think they could ever accept defeat Soldiers fight for their families and friends and even the rest of the United States citizens they will never meet I feel as if thats the pride of one of our soldiersTo serve in our military rather it is the Army Air Force Navy or any other branch is a great act of heroism in my opinion I have so much respect for those who join the fight to protect the rights of the citizens promised to us by our government When you join the military you face the chance of being deployed to another country to fight for the rights I mentioned and when in war you face the chance of being seriously injured or even killed You know all the risk and chances I mentioned when you ponder joining the military and you still decide to join I consider that a great service to your countrySo my answer to the question is there great pride in serving our military is yes I dont see how anyone could answer no to this question After researching this topic and having conversation with family members I am without a doubt that there is pride on serving in our military I have uncles cousins and grandparents who have served They all believed it was the best choice of their lives My grandfather turned down Division 1 scholarship offers to go into the army
