More About April
Hello there! I'm April, and I live in Southern California. I'm new to working for Kibin, but I've been an editor for about 8 years. I am a major nerd (I have a Lord of the Rings-related tattoo if that helps explain it...), and I stumbled across my passion for editing through an editorial internship in college. I've been hooked ever since. It makes me happy to make my clients happy, and I do my best to provide edits that help you present your ideas in the best way possible, and that help you learn and grow as a writer in the process.
What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?
I have so much fun editing different kinds of novels, especially young adult fiction! I also love anything related to journalism or poetry. But really, I just love editing in general, so it's a joy to work on any kind of document where I can help clients improve their writing.
In what subject areas are you an expert?
MLA, Chicago, and AP style, English, non-fiction, and creative writing.
What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?
I work full time at a university as the Writing Program Manager. I also love playing guitar, singing, seeing live music, playing board games, and reading!
Best times to request this editor:
Every day (Monday to Sunday)
05:00pm to 10:30pm
(This is not a guarantee of editor availability.)
I'm primarily available on weeknights and throughout the day on weekends.
Client Feedback and Praise
Thank you so much for your corrections and feedback.
Thank you April, you were very thorough and I learned a lot from your feedback!
I always find the break in between submitting to Kibin and waiting for the edit is helpful. It allows me to decompress after writing the Draft document. When the edit is returned I am much more open to the suggestions. The suggestions and edits are always an improvement on my concepts.
Thanks for reviewing and editing. good and useful feedbacks.
Thanks a lot - very valuable comments!
