More About Jessica

I attended the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, and hold a BA in interdisciplinary studies. My concentrations were writing, research, and social justice. Currently, I camp out in central Pennsylvania, where I grew up, mostly reading, writing, drinking matcha lattes, and discussing everything from radical politics to psychology, from technology and science to spirituality.
What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?
Honestly, I enjoy editing a wide range of document types. I like variety, and one of the biggest perks of editing is getting to read about many different topics in many different voices. If I had to pick a favorite, a juicy, compelling research paper in the social sciences would probably get my vote.
In what subject areas are you an expert?
My areas of study have been sociology, political science, psychology, history, and other areas within the social sciences, as well as English and creative writing. But there's always more to learn!
What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?
Besides reading and writing, I spend an inordinate amount of time on Facebook, and I frequent bookstores, coffee shops, and friends' houses. I love to travel whenever I get the opportunity. I'm also a huge foodie and I love to cook, and eat sushi. Taking long walks and getting immersed in the natural world helps me clear my head and get grounded, and I also enjoy meditation and practical spirituality.
