I’ve always loved reading, learning, creating, and teaching. In 2017, I stepped away from my secondary English/ESOL classroom and into editing full-time after 11 years of proofreading on a part-time basis.

I love reading and working on academic content (dissertations, theses, etc.). When I'm not working on papers or journal articles, I'm usually working on technical copy and nonfiction or the occasional legal document. I love highly technical work!

I have bachelor's degrees in English, sociology, and psychology. My master's degree is in curriculum and instruction. I am also working towards a doctorate and have taken many classes in statistics, research, and data analysis. My favorite subjects include literature, the mind-brain sciences, sociology, and linguistics.

What do I do in my spare time? Does spare time actually exist? I'm kidding! I enjoy playing with my kids outside. We ride bikes, take trips to the park, and play in the pool. I love reading anything and everything and willingly do so as often as possible. Sometimes I find the time to crochet or write, as well. Let's be honest, though; words and languages are always on my mind! I am a lifelong learner; my academic pursuits will never be complete.
