More About Tom
I give honest, practical feedback and precise editing that cuts straight to the heart. I am always polite and direct. Honesty is critical if you want to get better and if you want to make amazing English. I've been a professional editor for over 10 years. I've worked with big companies, government agencies, businesspeople, and students. I respect and value them all equally. Submitting your work for editing can be a humbling process. I can make the tone of your work casual and colloquial, business/professional, or precise academic and/or scientific. Having lived abroad for a long time, I know how hard it is to try and "be yourself" in another language. I hope I can give you great service.
What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?
I welcome all forms of editing, all levels of proficiency, and any sort of content from a simple and sharp tweet to an intricate journal submission with dozens of references.
In what subject areas are you an expert?
My specialties include economics, international relations, public health, and most social sciences. I am also experienced with copy editing for life sciences, medical, IT, and engineering. LaTeX papers are fine as well if I can sufficiently grasp the science.
What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?
Work, study, exercise, hang out with friends, eat, sleep. Repeat.
