I have a degree in English and a long history as a grammar nerd. I started my first journal when I was 5 years old and never stopped writing -- or rewriting. Before I started writing and editing professionally, I tutored writers of all ages and English abilities for 3.5 years. For me, there are few things more satisfying than guiding a writer to an "Aha!" moment with constructive feedback.

I'm a Jane-of-all-trades who knows a little bit about a lot of things, and I'm eager to learn what I don't already know. My academic interests include contemporary and classic literature, rhetoric, political science, gender studies, social sciences and history. My love for the humanities doesn't mean that I shy away from the hard sciences, though; I enjoy editing papers related to technology, medicine, geology, astronomy and more.

I also have several years of experience writing and editing content for the web, including marketing copy, blog posts, transcripts, and resource articles, so I understand the unique challenges of crafting content that stands out and actually gets read!

I love to edit almost anything -- long or short, silly or serious. I especially like to edit creative fiction, podcast transcripts, resumes and cover letters, personal essays, blog posts, business writing, and academic writing, including dissertations and theses.

When I'm not interacting with our awesome customers or editing team, I can usually be found knitting, reading, writing, hanging out with my kiddo, hiking, cooking, binging on podcasts, or -- as a true DIY junkie -- teaching myself something new.
