More About Lucy
I have an MA in English, with a focus on creative nonfiction, and in my life away from Kibin, I mostly edit novels, alternative health books/web content, and newsletters/blogs for small businesses.
What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?
Editing is my passion, and I enjoy all types of editing work, but my favorite projects tend to be personal and accessible. I love helping craft writing on women's health, alternative medicine, food and social justice, fiction and creative nonfiction, and the humanities. I also enjoy working on cover letters, resumes, personal statements, and admissions essays because it makes me smile to think I'm helping someone get a job or get into the college of their dreams!
In what subject areas are you an expert?
Literature and literature studies, the humanities, women's health, alternative and functional medicine, co-ops and food justice, and email and web marketing. I also have experience in nonprofit administration and grant writing.
What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?
More editing! I work from home with two cats and three dogs trying to crowd out my computer on my lap. I think they're trying to distract me, but little do they know they're just making my job more fun! I also do all the admin and bookkeeping work for three small bicycle shops and an acupuncture clinic. When I'm not working, I like to ride my bicycle, take the dogs on adventures, read tons of books while drinking giant cups of tea, go to punk shows, and start (but maybe never finish) remodeling projects on my house.
The best time to reach me for direct editing requests is between 8:30 am and 10:30 pm (PST). Thanks!

Client Feedback and Praise
Hey there, Lucy!! Thank you so much for reviewing my papers, and actually going your way to snag both of them as a part of a combo deal!! That was like, so awesome and nice of you!! Your edits were super on point, and my papers look better than ever now!! I read the heck out of your input, and I will cherish your thoughtful words forever, probably!!! Thanks for an awesome job, and you and your assorted cats and dogs have an awesome day!!! have fun editing and reading fanfiction and stuff!!! if you need some quotes for your review page thingy: "Lucy is awesome! I would reccomend her to anyone! If you meet the requirements of A) being human and B) having a paper in need of editing, you definitely need to use her." "Before Lucy edited my paper, it was essentially an incomprehensible jumble of assorted letters that didn't make any coherent sense whatsoever. I'm pretty sure none of them even classified as words. After she edited it, it was essentially a piece of fine Nobel-prize worthy literature. I honestly don't know how she did it. Lucy's just that good." "Tenouttaten. Editor of the year. If there was an Oscar equivalent of resume editing, she would fare way better than Leonardo DiCaprio."
