More About Eric

I'm a traveling photographer with a knack for the written word. Freelance editing allows me to explore the world while earning a steady income. My office typically includes a hammock and a hotspot.
What types of documents do you enjoy editing the most?
I really enjoy helping students refine their writing skills through all levels of academia. From English 101 to a doctoral dissertation, it's my job to help writers' thoughts and ideas come alive. A good paper can often be made great with a few organizational changes and a bit of wordsmithery.
In what subject areas are you an expert?
My educational and professional background is in journalism. Before starting as a freelance editor, I was a newspaper editor, so journalistic content is a strongpoint, and I know the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook very well. I also specialize in formal academic research papers. I take the time to learn about the subjects of the papers I edit so that I am familiar with the key concepts and vocabulary. Paired with a good eye for citation, I can move your term paper from good to great.
What do you do when you’re not editing on Kibin?
My wife and I travel as often as we can. Currently, we're teaching wild jungle kids how to read and write in the mountains of southern Costa Rica. We spend our free time building suspended tree platforms and hiking through the rainforest.
