Students seem to always find a loophole in the class room or the exam for a way to cheat but there is no excuse for these actions in school Stricter controls punishments and better influences from the adult community are needed to prevent students from justifying cheating According to a recent study into University Students 700 from Monash University 80 of Undergraduate students are cheating in one form or another If 80 of Students are cheating and getting away with it it is time something was done to reduce the numbers Perchance the teachers are at fault not checking the students work properly but can a teacher check the work of 30 - 40 students with perfect accuracy Unfortunately they cannot do such a deed More teachers lecturers and intern more funding must be introduced to decrease class size and give the teachers a chance to tell if something is plagiarized or not the students own work The teachers need to know the students voice in their writing to tell it from the work of a doctor or scientist the students happened to find over the internet Deceiving the system and having someone complete an exam posing as you is a colossal form of cheating It should be met with a harsh and severe punishment An RMIT student was bestowed with a 250 fine for hiring his tutor to sit an exam for him The student was told to sit the exam again How is the student sitting the exam again His tutor sat it in the first place If a student can get away with a 250 fin and a tap on the wrist for trashing the whole tertiary system and devaluing everyones degree they are exceedingly lucky The only way to get across to other students who are thinking of repeating this act is to make an example of the student who breaks the rules Make the student repeat
