Part one Book analysis When I first went to the library to look for an English book for the work we had to do on it book report I saw Black Beauty and thought it would be a great book for me to read because before Ive wanted to read it but never had a chance to plus I love animals so Black Beauty seemed to be the perfect book for me At first the story is rather boring always the same things happen basically nothing major ever does happen Black Beauty a beautiful black horse talks about his life as well as other horses He explains how sometimes human tend to forget horses are living creatures and have feeling and they can also feel pain In other words he denunciates humans cruelty towards animals and more specifically horses Black Beauty who is a handsome strong sweet tempered spirited and with very fine instincts has had many owner changes each one of them making him doo all kinds of tasks from being a cab horse in town to a carriage horse on a country estate This story mainly happens in England but never at a particular place sometimes Beauty will go trough the forest with his master sometime hell stay at his owners place The setting is never the same Happening a few centuries ago probably around the nineteenth one Its never really said as a specific date or time but it is when horses were more than a usual thing to see everywhere So it happened some centuries ago The story of Black Beauty as he tells us himself -the book is an autobiography it is in a way Beautys diary in which he tells what happened during the day-is about a young horse who has had many owners in his life The beautiful horse has been wrongfully abused several times by some of the owners he has had The story
