Hunting to me is one of the most exhilarating sports It is challenging but soothing at the same time To become a master hunter you must follow three steps witch are scouting the territory setting up your tree stand and what to do in the tree stand First you must find the right spot to hunt by scouting the territory and following signs The three signs to follow are deer trails scrapes and rubs Deer trails are easy to spot Deer trails are spots were the grass is worn down in a single line This is done because deer use this route repeatedly Scrapes and rubs are something that only male deer bucks do They do this to mark their territory They create a rub by rubbing their antlers on a tree to get the velvet off While they are rubbing the tree they scrap all of the leaves away by there feet and urinate You are looking for these signs because you want to hunt around them These signs help to pick the perfect spot After looking at signs the next thing to do is find a perfect spot to set up your tree stand While looking for this tree the first thing to look for is that you are downwind from the deer trail Deer have a distinct sense of smell and can smell you for miles so you must be off there trail Second you must look for a tree that has cover When I say cover I mean another tree to hide you from sight Deer also hear very well When you move you make noise and if a deer hears that and looks up all you will see is a white tail running the opposite way of you If you follow these steps you will find an area to put your tree stand The last and most important thing to do must be done while you are in
