Crystal's feedback:
"You’ve done a nice job crafting a strong, interesting intro and a clear, specific thesis statement. Most areas of the analysis in the body paragraphs as well as your research are both integrated well. On a broader scale, you could strengthen your essay by shoring up some of the paragraphs with stronger topic sentences and “so what?” elements at the end of each paragraph to wrap back around to your thesis to show why the information in each paragraph matters in relation to the thesis. I would also suggest more analysis in first body paragraph related to the details you’re addressing there—you smartly point out that the wording in iterations of PETA’s mission statement aligns with the definition of marketing, but you simply say that it does without explaining the underlying logic of why, which is the part that would be considered analysis. In addition, the paragraph on moral and ethical considerations is a bit long; breaking that into two paragraphs would improve the essay structure/readability. Your essay also just drops off at the end; it would benefit from a short conclusion to synthesize and summarize your body paragraphs and discuss how your analysis of the case “proves” your thesis statement—in this case, how you ultimately answered the questions posed and the bigger takeaway from your collective analysis. Finally, your overall diction and sense of flow are both very good, but the essay would benefit from some clean up to pronoun use, subject/verb agreements, punctuation with the quotations, and APA formatting for in-text citations and references."
