The basis and reliability of certain innate factors within the structure of an individuals life are taken for granted When these seemingly infinite truths are doubted the result is a plethora of fallacies stacked upon one another In order to further investigate this absurd concept one must first realize what the innate factors on which they base truths are These Three Main Foundations of Knowledge would be considered by nearly all to be unable to be doubted or undoubtable if you will These universal starting points of fact are the senses previous experiences or beliefs and corporeal nature or physicality The First Meditations and The Matrix both establish the idea that senses can be deceived like in a dream And even though Descartes does not believe the notion that all prior experiences in his life are imaginary he adopts that mentality in order to explore the idea This can be reasoned because if the very first experience in your life is false then all subsequent events based on that are as well The significant difference lies in the Descartes understanding that things that appear to include corporeal nature are the most concrete of the previously stated beliefs He believed they contain something certain and indubitablewhether I am awake or asleep two plus three make five and a square does not have more than four sides Since these are such obvious truths Descartes reasons they should not be subject to the suspicion of being false This is in direct contrast with the Matrix In the movie there are no obvious truths because everything within the Matrix is a dream-like fallacy Do not try and bend the spoon thats impossible Realize that there is no spoon Only then will you see that it is not the spoon that bends but you yourself There is nothing true in the Matrix That is why gravity can be defied bullets can be dodged and strength can be multiplied
