Bridget's feedback:
"This is a well-organized essay that makes good use of structure, signposting, and transitional language. Your argumentation demonstrates control over the texts and the analytical projects via specific, well-chosen examples.
Some of the interpretations, particularly with regard to Christianity, feel a little vague due to the absence of reference to Blake's philosophy and views. If allowed by the prompt, consider embedding your interpretation in the context of Blake's oeuvre and thought. Similarly, explaining how the poems are related will evoke further control over the subject and also help the reader understand why these two pieces are being paired here.
I also encourage you to push your point about the contrast between Baby Jesus and earth/nature imagery (end of para. 3): what, exactly, is the contrast, and what does this imply? Similarly, can you explore your observation about "God" and "he" between the two poems?"
