During ancient China there were two main religions The two religions were Confucianism and Daoism Both of these religions did not entirely agree with each other However people believed in one or the other or parts of each Both of the religions were important to the country of China The reason why there were two belief systems was because each religion presents one side of the Chinese mind The two religions were able to balance themselves out Whenever one religion started to go to far in there beliefs the other religion balanced the other one out This helped keep the beliefs near neutral to each other The religion of Daoism pleased the Chinese people because it gave them an imagination An imagination was a trait that many people in ancient China had One reason Daoism was believed because it talked about nature unlike Confucianism The religion however did not talk about the government which Confucianism beliefs of politics were believed The Confucianism beliefs on government were believed by the Chinese people There were not many other religions in China at the time that had its belief on how the government should be Because of that the people didnt have many choices on what to believe about the government This factor was very influential throughout China This was one belief in Confucianism that was not in Daoism Confucianism and Daoism were able to coexist in ancient China The reason for this was because different parts of each religion pleased the Chinese people Daoism gave the people an imagination Confucianism gave the people order and respect in the country Because of this the two religions were able to coexist with each other in ancient China
