In todays world teenagers have many decisions to make and difficult tasks to perform Teenagers also have quite an active and hectic social life while society pushes them to move forward and strive for the best In a teens life these issues present day to day conflicts Holding a job going to college and keeping an active social life can be a daunting task Often it seems I have found myself in a situation where I need to be in two places at one time In todays world a college education is no longer looked at as an option but as a necessity How do young adults get things done in their busy lives How will I be able to manage my time between work school and pleasure The answer is time management Determining priorities is the key to time management Getting a good education is the key to my future therefore is it my top priority Since school based on class availability is a scheduled event all other activities will need to be scheduled around it An excessive work schedule can result in my schoolwork and social life going on a downward spiral however a work schedule with too few hours wouldnt earn me the money needed for what I would like to do In these circumstances I am forced to make compromises with myself Its as if there are three of me each part wanting something different These factors bring up the question of school time How much time can I afford to put into school without losing too much of my other needs School has been placed on the top of the priority list while at the same time been placed on the bottom of the want to do list This makes things tough when deciding how much time will be used in schoolwork and how much time will be used in play time John Mayer in No Such Thing describes
