Brave New World Society is made up of the morals and beliefs of man intertwined with the foggy nature of science However science and society do not necessarily mix In the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley a world without emotion and human nature is created in order to fit a perfect caste system within society The name of this society is the World State and it is powered by engineers scientists and counselors that control the thoughts and emotion of every human being within that society The story takes place in the Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre in the year af 632 The af in this story stands for After Ford modeling after the great Henry Ford who made the famous Model-T automobile In the beginning of the story the Director or the Head of the CLHCC is giving a tour to a group of students explaining the purpose of the Hatcheries and their processes to them Within the Hatcheries the Director explains that five castes are made the top being the Alphas the next up being the Betas the middle being the Gammas and the last two being the Deltas and the Epsilons Each caste system is designated for a specific purpose in this society While still in its artificial womb embryos are conditioned according to their caste The lower your caste the harsher your treatment For example the Gammas Deltas and the Epsilons receive shocks called the Bokanovsky Process which divided the embryo into ninety-six identical embryos This produces more humans in a desired caste in a variable amount of time however this process weakens the embryo so therefore is not performed on Alphas or Betas due to their duty as being intelligent The motto of the World State is Community Identity and Stability The World State basically manufactures individuals for the purpose of a stabilized society The fear of chaos is so wide among the educated that this world
