I am here It is beyond the hours of daylight and I am engulfed in the darkness I do not feel sleepy I feel at home and at peace with my soul In this corner in this bed under these blankets and with my computer I know that is time to writeFade into the shadowsFall away from homeDrift from shore the only place you knewMaybe one day youll return but for nowJust floating into the distanceHoping one day you will hit landI re-read my creation I start to connect with the words as I think of the upcoming interview I will have with Barb Lee tomorrow I see how I have developed such a specific habit of writing I love to write in pure and absolute darkness I am so curious to learn about how other people incorporate habits into their writing processes Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to unravel how her environment helps her to develop habits to increase her productivity or creativity My mind slowly unravels as it gets later into the night and before I know it I am no longer thinking clearly my reality becomes blurry as it fades into an illusion I begin to see a place that is unknown to me The ground was bleeding beneath my feet It was covered with lifeless bodies and shattered dreams I continued on In the distance there was a large fortress surrounded by intimidating stone walls with curled barbwire resting on top of them My arms lifted me over the stone walls and I slowly climbed passed the barbwire I jumped down into the fortress only to see a few uniformed men scattered within the courtyard I saw a think light stream from the crack of a door and my curiosity led me to a group of men huddled in the barracks The men
