Management Dale Morrison made several significant changes in the revitalization of Campbell Soups aggressive mentality The company went through a period of slow gains He and the Campbell Soup staff made the correct changes needed to increase interest in the company once again The strategies used by Morrison were very affective and many are still in use Much of the companys success today is based on the decisions he made early in his period at Campbell Soup His aggressive nature helped increase the performance of the business The corporate level strategies made to help performance were very effective Morrison helped manufacturing efficiency when he made it more of a concentrated effort by forcing some plants to focus on fewer products He also used diversification to improve the company by adding Vlasic pickles and Swanson frozen- food line Morrison had a major affect on Campbell Soups large international movement He established markets in Europe and Asia European products are doing well today They have seen sales increases and double- digit profit increases Their business level strategies have enjoyed comparable success with the success of corporate strategies Morrison was effective in using the differentiation strategy in numerous ways such as establishing more kid- friendly packaging A differentiation strategy was also used in the past year in France to launch a new resealable bottle Both the corporate and business strategies have been proven very affective for Campbell Soup Many of Morrisons strategies are still in use within the company today He was a very valuable executive that left a tremendous impression on Campbell Soup for years to come
