The RenaissanceBy the Renaissance we mean the rich cultural development that began in the late fourteenth century It started in Northern Italy and spread rapidly northward during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries Gaarder 194 After the Dark Ages had ended the Renaissance came with its cultural rising and rebirth Several individuals at that period of time succeeded to enhance it by their thoughts that helped a lot of people to know some concepts in life One of those individuals is the scientist Galileo Galilei who formulated the idea of the Law of Inertia that said that A body remains in the state which it is in at rest or in motion as long as no external force compels it to change its state 200 This observation was essential to prove that the earth actually moved round its axis There were a lot of helpful inventions that were invented during the Renaissance such as the telescope The telescope assisted Galileo to explore the space and what it contains Then came Isaac Newton who explained more about the solar system and the space partly by referring to what we call Galileos dynamics 202 The telescope that was invented at that period of time and the explorations that the scientists reached help us to know about the space and its mazes nowadays Additionally the Renaissance witnessed economic success People no longer used bartering as in the Middle Ages they actually had money to buy what they need The Renaissance was a period of knowledge and inventions that we still use until now Knowledge was the main source that made the period of the Renaissance powerful and successful as Francis Bacon said Knowledge is Power 198 ReligionThe BaroqueThe Baroque was a period that was rich with contrastive ideas For example some people believed that Life is a theater 220 where people enter to
