Jenn's feedback:
"Your letter is off to a good start. You have made good points about why you want to earn a degree at Brunel and why you need a scholarship. As written, you have formatted your letter more like a resume. Consider removing the headings and writing cohesive text. You have a substantial number of grammar and punctuation errors. The grammar errors significantly impact the readability of the text. They include the addition of unnecessary articles, improper word order, and improper word tense. The punctuation errors including missing capitalization, extra unnecessary spaces, and unnecessary commas. Between the use of headings and the grammar errors the whole letter sounds disjointed."

Essays may be lightly modified for readability or to protect the anonymity of contributors, but we do not edit essay examples prior to publication. (And nope, we don't source our examples from our editing service! Check out our Privacy and Content Sharing policies for more information.)
