"This essay is off to a great start, and your interest in and engagement with the text and its context really comes through in your discussion. As you move forward, I recommend focusing on refining the various aspects of the existing writing to bring it to the next level. These tasks will range from making sure to describe plot action in the present tense (especially to differentiate from the historical discussion) and streamlining the use of plot summary so the focus remains on analysis.
