"You do a good job of summing up the theme of the novel, and you have some solid examples that illustrate the difficult relationship between Suyuan and Jing-Mei Woo. However, it can be difficult for the reader to follow some of your analysis. The first several paragraphs cover much of the same information and discuss the events of the book in a fairly vague way, leaving a reader who is unfamiliar with the book without a solid understanding of the conflict you describe. Consider consolidating these into one or two paragraphs with some examples from the novel.

The discussion also jumps back and forth chronologically a bit. Avoiding this could further enhance clarity.

Make sure to proofread, as there are some errors that need attention."
