Spirit What a powerful presentation This film really grabbed my attention and just didnt let go it was truly beautiful I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators story that unfolded through the dancing and the music I found myself in awe of the intricately designed costumes they were rich in Native American tradition and were the selling point of this production The costumes really succeeded in making the story come to life Another selling point for me was the Native American instruments The sounds of these instruments reminded me of music that would be heard at a pow-wow The music led me to nature and really got inside of me I felt alive and at the same time so peaceful just watching and listening to this film The dancing that went on in this performance was captivating the dancers were so passionate and really drew me into the story It was interesting how different the dancing was choreographed for the parts where the Native Americans were dancing in full costume compared to the rest of the dancing The native dancing was very simple and I could picture it being done around a fire pit Maybe that style of dancing is traditional or maybe it was to show off the costumes I thought the voice doing the narration was great The narrator really helped to bring the production to a complete circle The only part of the performance that I would have changed would have been the main dancer I thought the grandson of the Native American telling the story should have been Native American It seemed as though they chose the most Caucasian guy they could find for that part Maybe the producers wanted to show some kind of integration but it just didnt flow right to me for that part to be a white guy Overall this was just an extraordinary performance that I would love to see in person I cant
