The Communist Party of the United States can easily be identified as unwelcome to say the least in the largely democratic united states Such antagonism toward the CPUSA would definitely put a damper to advertise any support or promotion of this party This animosity can be explained through many such political placing at the time After World War II the next most significant thing was the Cold War The climbing of the tech tree by the USSR and the USA would spark automatic animosity between the two super powers with this rivalry the American public would easily begin despising the Soviets and with this the American politicians would use this to their advantage to gain political power With a new arsenal in the politicians pocket they could easily rouse the public into a frenzy creating hysteria and madness They adopted the concept that Communism was the pure evil out to destroy the world the thing that would shatter the American way this not only spurred nationalism but created many misunderstandings about Communism If you look at Communism at the purest Marxist form if it operated the way it should have a generally small population where the food surpluses are controlled by the community and jobs would be distributed according to skill level and ability the countries and communities needed to be largely industrial Such experiments would require a greatly disciplined population and some brainwashing propaganda The first country that embraced Communism was Russia not a very choice for a Communist regime being a country with a rather large and spread out population and its industry only starting to develop However Russia did become a world power under the guide of Lenin and Stalin The thing that antagonizes Russia in the Cold War might be the brutal power the government displayed in its acts against people who committed against themselves People are all equal when they dont diss the government However the rivalry and jealously between
