Her name was Jake She was new to Greentown She had long black hair that the sun glistened off A delicate figure with a slim pale body She was graceful when she walked like she was walking on a cloud or cutting through the sky like a sawn cuts through the water Her eyes that is what I remember most Blown glass blue the kind that looked straight into your soul They told me everything that her soul desired They would open up doors in your mind that you thought you locked forever She knew everything in you She was beautiful but John didnt like her John would call her names and make fun of her name because it was that of a boys He would ask me why I never said any thing about her I just replied I have nothing to say and I dont want to waste my time talking about her then I would suggest something to do When I would see her walk by I would stray away from Tom and John or whomever would be with us that day I would follow her and see where she would go I could see where she lived from the front of my house I would sit on my porch swing to see if I could get just a glimpse of her Sometimes I see her looking back at me She was beautiful an untouchable beauty She was only in Greentown for an unnotable time Not many people remember her or even acknowledged her existence She spent most of her time watching the birds fly by or listening to the animals that dwelled in the ravine I could see from my bedroom window the big hill on which she sat to watch the sun set On the night before she left I remember it well I saw her sitting on the hill watching the sun slowly descend beneath the horizon The
