As I get older I realized the importance of having a real role model In fact one of my high school teachers taught me early on to pick someone in an area and learn what they do and did to become successful And then emulate them So in the major aspects of my life Professionally and Personally I have a role model Professionally my role model is my sister Jenny Jenny is the Vice President of Human Resources at a major software company Not only does she make a ton of money but also she absolutely loves her job Jenny has taught me so much about how to identify your mission statement how to go after what the workplace When I was in high school she acted as my tutor helping me with writing papers math problems and probably more importantly feeling comfortable interacting with people And now she serves as my professional coach we talk at least onceweek and she helps to ensure I am on my path as she calls it Personally my role is Christopher Reeve The man today is amazing and inspiring to me Christopher Reeve was paralyzed in a equestrian accident 7 years ago Specifically the accident occurred on Saturday May 27th 1995 during a three-day equestrian competition in Culpeper County Virginia Dressed in protective vest and helmet he was riding his trained thoroughbred horse Eastern Express He trained long and hard for good horsemanship As his horse went over the third jump it suddenly stopped and Reeve went flying over the horse and landed on his head breaking his neck at the first and second vertebrae He was knocked unconscious and when he woke up he was completely paralyzed from the neck down Though Christopher Reeves life is changed forever he still calls it a Piece Of Cake compared to the less fortunate people of the Earth His philosophy is Nothing is Impossible The
