Abortion is a very controversial and emotional subject that can lead to many heated debates Every person has their own opinion on abortion I like everyone else have my own opinion and my own personal views on this subject I cannot speak for anyone else but myself First of all abortions kill babies A fetus is more than just a piece of biological tissue 100 of a persons genetic make-up is determined at conception so therefore a fetus is a distinct organism At 3 weeks of pregnancy nerve growth begins the spinal cord begins to develop and at the end of the spinal cord is a small mass that will be formed into the brain At 6 weeks the heart of a fetus is already formed and will begin to beat and pump blood Do to these scientific facts if you have an abortion you are committing murder Secondly the vast majority of children that are born in the United States will be wanted children While there are 2 million people on waiting lists desiring to adopt children 16 million abortions occur each year in the US These people are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to get these children In most of these cases adopted children are treated as well as biological children in these homes and are well cared for Finally the court decision that overturned the law outlawing abortions better known as Roe v Wade was based on false statements and accusations from the very beginning Norma McCorvey Roe of Roe v Wade stated in an interview with ABCs World News Tonight Abortion has been founded on lies and deception from the very beginning All I did was lie about how I got pregnant I was having an affair It all started out as a little lie National Abortion Rights Action League NARAL admitted to lying about the statistics that they have given the media and press in the past
