Yr 10 GYM ASSIGNMENT BY NICK RANKIN WEIGHTS There are a lot of different types of weights and ways that you can use them Basically there are two main aims of weights to get bulk or to get toned Building bulk is simply getting larger muscle mass or size Getting muscle tone is making the muscles more definition and shape The guy above is totally bulked and very toned clearly a professional body builder The two different types of weights are free and machine The free weights are the more productive because they strengthen the stabilising and supportive muscles But the machines are also very good they are more simple to use effectively and are more easily adjusted There are almost limitless amounts of exercise that you can do with either types of weights But all have basically the same benefits toning bulking building strength weight gain and improved physical appearance CARDIO Cardio is exercise that more focussed on improving fitness rather than the muscles it is exercise that helps you become fitter by increasing heart and breathing rate The kinds of types of exercise equipment that are used for cardio at the gym are running machine rowing machine bikes and stair machines These machines are also used to warm up for weights and Tai-box Some benefits of cardio are improved fitness fat loss improved physical appearance improved muscle tone and improved indurance TAI-BOX Tai-box Tai-bo boxercise its all the same stuff This really fast athletic guy called Billy Blanks made it up and it has spawned countless imitations Basically it is an aerobics routine that is based with boxing moves and stances it is very intense and can be greatly varied to increasedecrease the level at which it is performed You can have it involving punches kicks head buts and all kinds of fighting moves Its main benefits are muscle toning improved physical appearance improved fitness better coordination and
