Bridget's feedback:
"The body of this essay is in good shape, with specific details and focused and purposeful paragraphs. The introduction and conclusion, which make reference to family and family members, however, suggests a different focus for the essay. You have a few paths forward to help clarify the purpose and focus. First, consider reorganizing the opening and closing so as not to imply the family is the main topic; instead, use a single body paragraph to group all reference to the impact on the family in one place. Alternatively, you might want to continue building the body out so the discussion about the family and coping dominates.
On a related note, the final two sentences also throw off the reader's understanding of the position and purpose of the essay. The warning against believing a doctor seems to move in the opposite direction of the informative body presentation. I recommend clarifying this final moment by revising the word choice or backing the claim up with a sourced piece of evidence or data."
