When deciding which article to respond to for the purposes of this assignment I began reading each of the essays listed Open-minded and prepared many of the readings I came across either infatuated my delight or disappointment However none of which gave me a greater sense of personal relation and inspiration than that of Natalie Angiers essay Nothing Becomes A Man More Than A Womans Face In accordance to the assignment I must say that I unequivocally agree with the author and her sources I interpreted Natalie Angiers writing as being mostly a factual reiteration of evidence found in studies I identified her writing as being primarily informative and even educational I felt as if she agreed with the studies conducted and data collected to the point of reciting it in the form of an essay Moreover as she had cited many different sources of information such as the Scottish and Japanese study of facial attractiveness as well as the move to investigate the opinions of hunter-gatherer tribes evolutionary twist in the Amazon I would argue that she agrees with the reports as well I felt drawn and interested to her essay for one simple reason correlation I immediately noticed my mind correlating her writing and supporting evidence of facial attractiveness and design to that of my own findings within social settings ie clubs classrooms libraries etc Furthermore I was pleasantly surprised to read about the traditional hallmarks such as big jaw square face prow nose and heavy brow fall short to that of the viewing judgesappraisers opinions The voting from these appraisers yielded a greater touch for girlishness in the face of a man slender nose cupids lips lightened brow adorable chin pg619 I may not have all of these particular facial characteristics citing this second list but I do have most and that is what has drawn me to this reading The essay made it evident that the old fashioned stereotypical
