Iva's feedback:
"The way you integrate quotes into your summary is effective; you choose quotes that support what you write and do a good job of working them in so they flow well with your writing. However, the organization of the essay itself makes it unclear whether you are focusing on the Socratic method or the nature of piety. This is largely due to the lack of a thesis statement, which should serve the purpose of specifying the main idea you will focus on and set a structure for your response. If the case is that you want to focus on both the Socratic method and piety, you may find that breaking your response up into paragraphs that are related but expand on ideas that can stand alone (i.e., one on the nature of piety as explained in the text and another on how the Socratic method is used to develop the idea of piety) in addition to making a relationship between the two in your thesis statement. Finally, to ensure that your reader is aware of the text you are referencing, make sure to specify the full name of the author as well as the title of the text (in your case, Vaughn's first name and the title of their text) in the first reference; then, in following references, you can stick with the (Last Name Page Number) format you have."
