Poem summarizations The Ride by Richard Wilbur uses poetical devices such as rhyming The first line and third line rhyme while the second and fourth line rhyme with each other in each stanza Also the writer uses many of the same vowel sounds such as seemed and dreamed and thanks and flanks My first impression of this poem was to think about horses but more modernly cars While the title called The Ride is intriguing enough he talks about steering and fears which can be related to cars I look at this poem like he is dreaming of riding his horse but then he wakes up So the picture I chose was this fancy sports car as a way to relate to his poem only in my sense I would be dreaming of cars like this I also related horse power in a cars engine to this poem A Poem for the End of the Century by Czeslaw Milosz does not use a rhyming scheme The poem uses anastrophe for example Who without any need This poem is in free verse When I first read this poem it made me think of just the world in general Reflections on how the world works everything wrong with the world why Im doing this assignment and just how everything in life is chaos The pictures I chose were pictures of globes and earth to represent that there is only one of these and the world can be seen in many different ways to different people She Is by Brian Walker uses rhyme in the first two parts and in the second and fourth line This poem uses Apostrophe he is directing this poem to Audrey Elaine It is also a lyric in the sense that he is expressing his feelings of a past relationship towards a woman Reflections I had when I read it was that of like the perfect woman he
