1Odysseuss first stop and purpose for his journey was Troy for the Trojan War He won the war by the skill of the Trojan horse They gave the Trojans a wooden horse as a fake gift of surrender but it was filled with soldiers and they killed all the citizens 2After the war Odysseus and his men go to the coast across the Mediterranean Sea and started to celebrate While Odysseus was gone some of the Trojans went and got some hunters Then the hunters fought with Odysseus and soma of his men die 3Next Odysseus stops at the island of the lotus-eaters The lotus-eaters eat a fruit called lotus that addicts you so you cant leave Some of the crew at the lotus and got left behind 4Odysseus got washed ashore on an island with a Cyclops after the lotus-eaters The Cyclops ate several people before Odysseus poked the Cyclopss eye out The crew got out alive but not before Odysseus told the Cyclops what he really thought of him 5Odysseus conquers yet another one of his dreaded foes He takes over the Sauagegiants with a gallant battle 6Odysseus is having some trouble getting home to Ithaca so Aolta the king of winds helps him out by giving him a bag of winds with all the winds save for the west wind which will carry him home Then he visited Circe 7Odysseus seeks advice from a prophet named Teiresias He councils him about Scylla and Charybdis This is valuable knowledge that will save lives 8Odysseus visits Circe who knows the way into bed with him She turns some of Odysseus men into hogs and says If you sleep with me I will let them go So He sleeps with her 9On their journey back home they must pass the sirens To not be drawn in by their voices Odysseus put beeswax
