Advertising is everywhere It consumes the American citizen in day-to-day life Advertising has become such a normal part of society in a way that it frequently goes overlooked Steve Craig provides a detailed analysis of four TV commercials in his article Mens Men and Womens Women by presenting to the audience how advertisers create their ads to appeal respectively to male and female viewers He also compares and contrasts these TV commercials to support his thesis Furthermore I chose to compare and contrast the advertisements of two cellphone companies which specifically explains how we disregard significant aspects of advertisements such as signs and symbols and cultural mythsThe two-cellphone companies I selected to compare and contrast included ATT and Verizon My decision to use these cellphone companies stood solely based on the fact that they are strong competitors I was able to consider specific questions while viewing both ads Therefore I concluded that both commercials shared similar and different aspects that are designed to attract consumers to buy from their company ATT has recently launched various commercials which uses children in a classroom setting to promote their motto Its not complicated The ATT commercial I chose to analyze begins with a man sitting at a desk with four children and to what appears to be set in an elementary classroom The man asks the children Whats better faster or slower they reply in an enthusiastic tone by loudly saying Faster He then continues the conversation by asking the children Ok whats fast A girl responds by saying my moms car and a cheetah another boy answers by saying a spaceship The man continues the conversation by asking the children What is slow One boy responds My grandma is slow so the man asks Would you like it better if she was fast The boy begins to laugh and says I bet she would like it if she was fast the man responds by proposing
