10 Ways to Reduce Violence Disconnecting anger from violence is probably the key ingredient to the whole puzzle The reason that violence still exists today is because this link between anger and violence is also the hardest bond to break I believe that anger management classes should be taught to more individuals at a young age Many children probably do not see the proper way to handle anger in their homes It is this reason that I believe that it should be taken as far as teaching anger management in our educational institutions early on and throughout the adolescent years I especially believe that this is needed in areas of high violence and crime rate which is mainly in densely populated urban areas where there are more people crammed into a smaller space When you have a large population of people in a small area they have to interact more therefore raising hostility levels that are produced by people not getting long and becoming angry with one another The love of violence is another issue that is displayed all over the media We watch violence for fun and then are told that it is bad How much sense does this make We also watch people taunt and humiliate each other on TV etc for entertainment This could be a deadly combination when you get people that love to taunt and have a love for weapons and violence Everyday forms of entertainment weather we like to admit it or not is subtly putting violent ideas into peoples heads Children take these acts of violence and humiliation and reenact them on the playground If scenes like this are not closely monitored and actively punished properly then they could and very well might become larger problems down the road The availability of guns I do not see this as a problem People are not stupid even troubled people If they have malice in their hearts due to
