Why the religion is dangerous What happens at death Many people think of death as the end of life but that is not what happens We have an infinite life and we are just paying a temporary visit to the Earth plane one of many planes of existence The people who have left the Earth plane are often referred to as spirit beings and their world is called the spirit world This is not a good term because all people are spirit beings whether they are wearing a physical body or not The spirit world is our normal plane of existence our home and we only pay a brief visit to the Earth plane as a more intensive way of learning our lessons We keep paying visits to the Earth plane by the method called reincarnation until we have thoroughly mastered all of the lessons the Earth plane has to offer The most basic and fundamental lessons are to develop our love and compassion and to overcome the selfishness and pride that get in the way Spirit Guides Many of the so-called spirit beings have so much love for us that they have taken on the job of looking after us while we are on the Earth plane and the job of helping us to learn our lessons These people are called spirit guides and they have the power to help us whenever we make an effort to improve ourselves No-one is ever without help even in his darkest hour Their kindly messages of love and reassurance uplift and strengthen us and enable us to carry on through our difficulties and problems We call their messages intuition or conscience depending on what type of message it is The spirit guides have inspired the worlds most spiritual men and gave them teachings to pass on to their followers The followers called disciples or devotees or sannyasins then worked at increasing their peace of mind
